INTELLIGENT DECOYING

Virginia Police K-9 Association and Chesterfield County Police K-9 Unit would like to send a shout out to all of the handlers and their K-9 partners who participated in the Intelligent Decoying Training Seminar held on March 5-6, 2024.  Handlers from as far away as Washington County, Tennessee and Martinsville, Virginia participated in the course.  Seven different localities and the Virginia State Police were represented among the participants.  The trainers, Carlos Ramirez (CRK9 LLC) and Michael Nezbeth (Grassroots K9), provided two days of instruction targeted at providing the handlers with a broader understanding of the K-9 psyche and techniques to work more effectively when training their K9s.  As one participant summed up the course, “We had reached a plateau in our training ability.  This training course allowed us to move our training to the next level by providing us with new techniques that we had not been exposed to before.  We participated in a similar seminar a few years ago that was like getting a bachelor’s degree.  This course was like getting the master’s degree.”

If you are interested in participating in future training courses like this, please let us know by sending an email to us at info@K9PD.org.
